Jacinda Barrett is an Australian born model turned actress who is probably best recognised for her roles in some of America’s recent hit movies such as ‘The Last Kiss’, ‘School for scoundrels’ and Bridget Jones; The edge of reason.
Jacinda was born in Brisbane, Queensland on August 2nd 1972. She always had a deep rooted interest in the Entertainment industry and at the age of just 17 years old began to travel through Europe working as a model.
In 1995 she had her first TV role as a cast member in one of the most popular MTV shows of the 90’s: MTV’s The Real World: London.
After appearing in front of the camera for the first time she quickly caught the acting bug and decided to attend The British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England.
From there, she quickly secured her first role which was in a low budget movie called ‘Campfire Tales’ an urban legends style movie with a twist. This later lead to more film roles and she has since worked with some of Hollywood’s best actors and actresses in movies such as ‘Bridget Jones Diary – The Edge of Reason’ alongside Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth, ‘Urban Legends’ ‘Poseidon’ and Most recently hits such as ‘The Last Kiss’ starring Zach Braff, and the Billy Bob Thornton movie ‘School for scoundrels’ where she plays the love interest to two highly competitive men.
Jacinda was once engaged to MTV Host Chris Hardwick, but the couple have since separated and Jacinda went on to marry actor Gabriel Macht on December 29th 2004.
She was named one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by ‘People’ Magazine in 2007 and remains very close friends with her acting colleges from the movie ‘Ladder 49’.
